abudhabi__: Honestly, that challenge is only possible to the extent the person executing the instructions is willing to cooperate. Given neither the language nor the system is well-defined, you can always find a wrong way to execute even the most specific instructions.
23:38
<@macdjord>
Case in point: in the first couple tests, the dad used the right end of the knife despite the instructions not specifying. Similarly, he correctly identifies which side of the bread to spread on - in the tests where they have him spreading the wrong things. Then gets it wrong once they start getting other things right.

<&Reiver>
You're saying he should have done All The Wrong Things in the first attempt

I say that software often hides bugs until you fix the prior one :p

The point of the peanut butter sandwich exercise, which I assume is up for discussion here, is not to correctly make a sandwich. It's to make kids think.

Yes, I saw the link, I'm just in a Teams meeting so watching it isn't a possibility right now :P

<@macdjord>
Reiver: Fixing one bug may reveal another, but it generally shouldn't cause previously-correct code to behave differently. (Unless you're dealing with C-compiler Undefined Behaviour - and, as I originally stated, *nothing* in this process is well-defined.)
23:56
<@macdjord>
Then again, I suppose there's an easy solution to this problem:
23:56
<@macdjord>
STEP 1: Go tell Mom to make you a PB&J sandwich
23:57
<@macdjord>
STEP 2: DONE
